In addition to her private practice, Linda is involved in research, consulting, presenting at professional conferences in the US and abroad, and producing educational video materials for future and practicing professionals as well as families touched by hearing loss.Īdditional recent professional activities (since 2010): Authorĭaniel, L. Her special interests include educating caregivers in her family-based practice, serving individuals with hearing loss and associated disorders, and addressing the psychosocial effects of hearing loss and related communication disorders on children, adults, and their communication partners. In addition, she provides listening, speech, and language therapy and educational support services to individuals with hearing loss who use hearing technologies. Presently, Linda is the Aural Rehabilitation Consultant for the Dallas Ear Institute and the Dallas Hearing Foundation: she conducts evaluations for the cochlear implant and coordinates recommendations with the families, physicians, and audiologists. Prior to founding HEAR In Dallas, Linda was Director of the TALK Center for Hearing Impaired Children in Dallas. Practicing since 1974 and working in Dallas since 1988, Linda specializes in the rehabilitation of listening and speaking skills of individuals with hearing loss.

Serving as Chair of the Examination Development Committee on the Certification Council of Auditory-Verbal International in its inception, Linda helped establish high standards for certifying Auditory-Verbal Therapists. The internationally renowned Doreen Pollack M.S., M.A. Her academic training includes a BS in Communication Sciences from the University of Iowa, a MA in Audiology from the University of Denver, and a MS in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
